Vicki Eultgen has worked as an Interior Designer at Johnston Paint and Decorating for “a long time.” She worked in the 80’s and left for a few years to raise her girls, returning in 1994.
Vicki loves the creative element of her job and enjoys the satisfaction of helping her customers solve their problems. She works with customers who are remodeling their current homes as well as commercial contractors.
Outside of work, Vicki loves traveling, reading and working in her art studio. She is also an active member of the Mid Missouri Arts Alliance.
Charissa Bellinger began working as an Interior Designer at Johnston Paint and Decorating when she moved to mid-Missouri in 2015. Prior to her move, she worked in Kansas City and Joplin in furniture and floorcovering stores.
Charissa is involved in the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network. Her strengths at Johnston’s include everything from assisting customers with color selection to whole-house remodeling.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
MG Holtkamp is the Office Manager at Johnston Paint and Decorating. She has worked in this capacity since 2002 and works with our customers as well as vendors. She enjoys the variety of tasks and experiences that are given each day.
MG was born and raised in Columbia but has lived in California and Kansas. She and her husband enjoy traveling extensively in her time away from work.
Vicki Hague has been an employee of Johnston Paint and Decorating since 2016 but a customer for over 25 years! Her passion for great service is evident in her roles of greeting customers and providing support to the design team with various tasks. She loves being surrounded by such a creative environment each day.
In Vicki’s time away from work, she enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
Melissa Murphy began her career at Johnston Paint and Decorating in 1996 as a Design Intern, transitioning over the years to Interior Designer and now co-owner alongside her husband, Murph, and cousin, Corey Turner. Melissa’s favorite part of her job is making an overall difference in someone’s home. She is proud of Johnston’s ability to mix items to maintain a client’s budget while still providing a cohesive environment.
Melissa enjoys being with her family, following her children’s pursuits alongside them and traveling.
Erika Tompkins is a native of Columbia, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri and moved to Oregon for several years, returning in 2010 to begin her career as a Designer at Johnston Paint and Decorating. Taking an imaginary project concept and turning it into a reality is the best part of her job. Erika’s design tip is to only buy materials that you love, and in turn you’ll love the finished project just as much.
When not at work, Erika enjoys outdoor activities such as disc golf as well as being with friends.
Lisa Rapp Medley
Lisa Rapp Medley has been an Interior Designer with Johnston Paint and Decorating since 2010. Lisa is a native Boone Countian. Customers either already know Lisa or leave feeling like they’ve known her forever once they get her trademark smile and hug around the neck! She spends much of her time at Johnston’s working with builders and clients who are building new homes.
Spending time with her family, traveling to and boating on different lakes and rivers and four-wheeling at her farm are just a few of the things that keep her busy away from Johnston’s.
Corey Turner was born into the paint business and spent time as a teen delivering paint before working at the paint counter and then eventually becoming co-owner upon the retirement of his father Gary and business partner Ron Elder. Corey spends his days at Johnston’s performing financial responsibilities as well as overseeing the ordering of paint materials and related sundries.
In his time away from work, he passionately follows the Chicago Cubs (a tradition handed down to him from his father, grandfather and great-grandfather), attends Mizzou football and basketball games and spends time with his family at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Matt is the Paint Manager at Johnston Paint and Decorating. He started working for Johnston’s in the mid-90’s while attending the University of Missouri. Matt enjoys working with customers, both seasoned contractors as well as do-it-yourselfers with lots of questions!
Away from Johnston’s, Matt enjoys working out, following the Chicago Cubs and doing projects around his home.
Ben Ridgway is the Warehouse Manager at Johnston Paint and Decorating. His experience as a floorcovering installer, affability, and attention to detail have been a terrific fit for the vastly diverse population he works with each day, from delivery drivers to vendor reps to installers and designers.
Ben began his career at Johnston’s in 2012. In his spare time, he enjoys attending fishing tournaments and being with his family.
Chris Sutton is a native Columbian and has worked as a Paint Salesman at Johnston Paint and Decorating since 1998. His favorite part of his job is interacting with the paint contractors and their crew. His favorite paint color is PM-2, white. He says if he is selling that color to a painter, he knows they will be back soon for finish color!
Outside of Johnston’s, Chris spends his time coaching and watching his children’s sports activities.
Tom Victor is a Paint Salesman at Johnston’s. His favorite part of his job is working with customers and making them smile. He is particularly good at picking out the right paint, stain or product for any job thrown at him!
Tom has lived in Columbia over 40 years. He has worked in the paint industry over 20 years and returned to Johnston’s in 2013. His interests include helping out his friends, playing softball and being an awesome grandpa.
Bailey Grieshaber has been a Design Intern at Johnston Paint and Decorating since 2015 while attending the University of Missouri. She is a native Columbian and enjoys fishing and being with her friends and family.
In the showroom at Johnston’s, Bailey can be found helping customers with color or getting them started on a remodeling project. She enjoys being involved in a wide variety of projects.
Blair Murphy is a co-owner of Johnston Paint and Decorating and began his career in 1988 by unloading trucks and stocking paint. Today, Murph (as he is called by most) spends his time fostering relationships with customers as well as being involved in numerous community events and boards. He enjoys following his Dallas Cowboys as well as Mizzou Athletics, golfing and coaching his children in their sport activities.
Corey Moriarity is a five-year veteran of Johnston Paint and Decorating. He works as a Paint Salesman in the store as well as makes outside calls to prospective contractors. Decorative concrete finishes are one of his favorite things to sell, as he has attended multiple trainings and thoroughly understands the intricacies of the product application.
When not at work, Corey enjoys being with his wife and dogs.
Josh Turner was raised at Johnston Paint and Decorating as his father, Gary, is a former owner. He spent time in high school and college working part-time and then returned in 2013 as a full-time Paint Salesman. Josh loves interacting with Johnston’s customers.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with family and can be found outside on the trail or enjoying a concert!
Kameron Alley is a Paint Salesman at Johnston Paint and Decorating. He enjoys being around his “indubitably fantastic” coworkers and is passionate about helping both retail customers and contractors get the correct product for the job. He started his career at Johnston’s in 2016.
Kam enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and dogs when not at work.
Kayla Armentrout started her career at Johnston Paint and Decorating as a Design Intern while attending college and accepted a full time Interior Design position upon graduation in 2018.
Kayla’s favorite part of her job is helping people feel confident in the decisions about their home. She can be found in the showroom assisting customers with color or floorcovering and loves the possibilities that can be created with tile.
When not at work, Kayla enjoys photography and trips to her favorite city, Chicago! In addition to the big-city feel and fabulous food found there, Kayla is inspired by style and design elements found in Chicago and loves to apply those to her current jobs.
Michaela is a Design Intern at Johnston Paint and Decorating while attending the University of Missouri. She loves traveling, spending time with her family and creating custom artwork.
Steve Bartlett is a Salesman specializing in stains and lacquers for Johnston Paint and Decorating. He can be found in the showroom walking a customer through the process of stripping furniture or at his workbench carefully matching stain for a job. Part of his time is also spent traveling central Missouri visiting his loyal cabinet makers and delivering their product.
Steve returned to Johnston’s in 2016. He is an Ashland resident and in his off time enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, golfing and fishing.
